We had the same LG washer for 2 years and we just got this "LE" code a couple days ago. It was due to too much load. We tried the unplug / reset / plug back in many times. We also called the service, nothing works. Finally, we were referred to a local service center. They immediately told us that it is the sensor problem and we need to have it replaced. The part costs less than $30, but the labor and service change is $260! We should never buy this LG junk. We are seriously thinking of throwing it away. But it would be a tremendous burden to the environment.

Have had this machine for 1 1/2 years. Just randomly got the LE code yesterday. It was a small load. I tried taking some clothes out and just putting on spin to clear water. The code kept coming up.Now machine has wet clothes with wate sitting in it..... Machine is very heavy so I need to get several people to help try to get to the plug to unplug it. I doubt that will resolve the issue. I will call for service but know it will cost a lot. A machine this age should have no problems especially at the price they charge.

Also have problem with mildew smell, nothing works. I would never purchase htis machine again but am not in the financial position to replace it or I would.

Yes; we have this same problem. We have had that same code come up several times before; but unplugged it and plugged it back in and it has returned to working normal after that (luckily the plug is not hard to access). However; it occurred again this weekend and is not starting back sounds like the drum is stuck (it's trying to spin, but won't)...I hear a semi-high pitched sound a couple times as it tries to move, but it can't and the LE code comes on. We've only had the machine about 2 years!!

I have the same problem, LE error code. Everything has been working fine for a couple of years but we only use the machine as a secondary laundry unit about 1-2x a month. I don't have a problem fixing a sensor rather than wait for a service tech but I would like a parts breakdown if available.

We had the washer 3 years. We were washing a light load. We got the LE code. We called LG, they told us to unplug the unit, wait 30 minutes press and hold the start button for 15 seconds. Then wait a half hour and plug it in. Then set it to no spin to drain the water. The water drained and we tried to run a load with one towel. We got the LE code again. We then tried the above again with on success. I called LG for service, it turns out there is no service in my area. I am 30 minutes south of a major population center.

I asked LG to send some to get the unit, they refused. They told me to take the unit 75 miles to the nearest repair center.

I called a junk man and he hauled it off.

Press "end of cycle". Plug off the wall. Code can be an indication of several issues. The most common cause is over-sudsing in the machine. Overloading the wash with too much laundry may also cause the LE error code. Lastly, a breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause that error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire, see that all wires are tightened..........

I tried the Solution #1 and by unplugging my LG for 15 minutes and removing the water from the machine, it is now running fine.

Just had the LE code flashing on my LG front load washer. Washer was at the normal water level. Tried to start several times, no luck. I then tried premm's sugestion and turned the machine off and unpluged it for a minute then plugged it back in....the machine started right up and cycled normally.

Thank you premm!!!!

I have a danby kegerator and the code LE keeps flashing

Sounds like a faulty temperature probe or faulty temperature control circuit. Some modify their unit with an external temperature controller. It does require knowledge of wiring to perform the modification. There are detailed notes, images, etc provided by psychodad at

Lg front loading washer flasing LE and stops midcycle

In new installations, this error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.

Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

The TV keeps going into standby mode , comes back to proper picture and with-in 15-20 seconds goes back into standby mode. It happens continueously.

May I know if the standby led light at the front panel is blinking, if so please count how many times it will flash to determine the error code? If not follow the steps below.

In standby mode press the button of the remote control in sequence, " Display ", " Channel 5 ", " Vol (-) ", " Power ". Self diagnosis screen will displays. Le me know the result.

I get an LE error message on my LG Dishwasher. I replaced the pump. Still get the LE error. Replaced the main control. Still get the LE. No blockage in the pump. What now?

When you receive the LE error code, unplug the machine for approximately 15 - 20 minutes. This will reset the microprocessor.

Oversudsing is the main cause of LE error codes. Using non-HE detergents or too much detergent will cause stress on the motor. Oversudsing can also cause leaking and odor.

A breakdown in the signal between the microprocessor and the motor may cause the error code. This can occur if there is a loose wire.

A couple of notes about this - there are at least three motors on this unit - the main pump, the drain pump, and the 'vario motor' which appears to control the direction of water flow through the sprayers. The main pump is the one likely to go bad. Another cause of the LE code is broken wires in the door. The wires in the door get stuck in the black sound insulation and eventually break. Sometimes, this causes the LE error code. Check the wires in the door first. They are located behind the large front panel. It's easily removed by undoing 6 screws.

Dishwashing cycle starts for about 3 minutes then flashing LE light comes on and the machine stops. Why?

Display Condition LE = Motor Error

Possible Cause For Error Occurrence:

Wiring connection is OK?
The Impeller of Washing Pump is locked.
The rotor of Washing Motor is locked.
The Blade is locked.

Check the wiring connection.
Replace the cause of restriction.
Replace the Washing Motor.
Replace the PCB.

Try the following steps:

Unplug the washing machine if you see an LE error on the two-digit display electronic readout. This error indicates a miscommunication between the control panel and wash motor.

Press and hold the "Start/Pause" button on the front panel for five seconds.

Plug the LG dishwasher back in.

Run a cycle. The LE code will clear.

The oven is flashing code F7 and keeps beeping

HI, this is an issue that concerns either the key pad or the control board.

Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.
