My LG R/C ducted airconditioner blows cool air for about 45 -60 seconds before the compressor? (Outdoor unit) cuts out and then it blows normal air. I seem to have a dodgy power supply as it seems that during extreme weather conditions ie around 40 deg C, that it stops cooling. The power supplier was the problem last time and I wonder if they are to blame this time as well. Very Frustrating!

The compressor has a capacitor that helps to start the compressor if the compressor does not reach the speed required to jump from the start coil to te continum work in about 10 sec the termic protector disconect the compressor for about 5 minutes but the blower or fan does work just blowing the air and that is not cold

The Exhaust fan is not working, the unit still cools air then cuts out.

the unit is blowing cold air then tripping out, is it blowing hot air out the back? im sure you mean exhaust air as in hot air so the reason your unit is tripping out is that its overheating and the pressures in the rerigeration system are to high, so the safety trip cuts the unit off.

replace the motor

all the best

Kenmore air conditoner model 580.75151500 keeps blowing the built in breaker on the cord. Air conditioner is only about two years old. Happens no matter where I plug it in

Hi there. Clean the condenser. (the outside cooling coil where hot air comes out.) Use compressed air. If no air, try a vacuum.

Only blowing cool air, even having set on 30C on remote. No user manual.

Mate, I had exactly the same problem. When I set the thermometer to 30c it cut out, then five minutes later it started blowing hot air out. Hope this helps!

Wont no water to empty or drain

Either the unit is really dirty or it is low on refrigerant. A unit tha is low on refrigerant will start off cold and withing a few minutes, start warming up. If you aren't seeing any water its because of one or both causes listed.

I bought a haier electronic control air conditioner model HWR10XC6 on 6/30/08. I installed it. When I try to use the cool mode the air conditioner will only blow out cold air for about 5 - 10 minutes and...

It sounds as if the compressor (that provides the cooling) is cutting out due to either a faulty thermostat or is itself overheating.

Obviously check the thermostat is able to move between it's minimum and maximum levels, anthat this corresponds to the compressor cutting in and out.

With maximum cooling selected, the compressor should not cut out untill the thermostat says it's cool enough. If it does, there is a fault, and you have every right to a refund or a free repair/ replacement.

The fault is usually centered around the compressor electrical components if it is not under any warranty, but it should be. Even if the store does not want to know, the manufacturer should back it for 1 year.

Thanks for using Fixya!

Getting cooler air

if you are desiring to have it 62 degrees in the house, the cool setting needs to be more to like 66 deg and the heat setting needs to be like 58 degrees. that would make it more around 62 degrees in the house.

change the heat setting first to 58 and then change the cool setting to 66. this gives your temperature 62 +/- 4 deg.
