Crazy TV????? The TV one night all of a sudden turned on and loud. And when I went to see who was in our front room it turned off, and then on and changed channels. Ever since that night 12/26/07 it's been crazy! Going on and off....loud and changing channels. What do you think we can do?

Hi, either the eprom is corrupted or the front control board is bad, the control board can be a diy job but not the eprom. Have you pulled the tv`s AC cord for 30 seconds and then plugged it back in to see if that will do a re-set on the micro ? If not try it, you`ll have to remove the back of the set and pull the cable from the control board while it`s on so if this makes you nervous call a tv tech instead of attempting it, be advised that removing it while the set is turned off will not work because of course there is no way then to turn on the set, hope this helps, questions? e-mail me back, BMW Rider

TV is suddeningly turning volume up and down

That could be one of two things first being the front keyboard and possibly a main board. However the keyboard is usually the cause of those two issues. You can get replacement boards with free tech support for diagnosis to determine which board you actually need at just hit the contact us button and enter the model number and symptom

Loud vibration

If it is a frost free check the fan inside. The fans can have bearing failure after a few years thus causing the vibration. Also the compressor underneath is mounted on rubber vibration dampers and if one of these rubber mounts fail then the compressor will start vibrating against the refrigerator frame causing a loud vibration. If none of these apply gently press on the side and front panel of the refrigerator to try and locate the source of the vibration as any where metal is vibrating against metal the side and front panel act as a sounding board amplifying the sound. If you cant locate the vibration then you may have a more serious problem and may need to call a technician.

Our tv made a loud pop/crack sound and went

look take the back cover off and look at the pwr fuse its located near the main on/off switch .replace if blown. before you switch back on is the set damp free you could have an ht leak so warm back of set make sure its perfectly dry an hair dryer works well but don't hold too close to single components.if all this works cover set at night with a towel over the air vents when not in use to avoid moisture on line transformer. this answer would work with an ht leak .but the problem could lie elsewhere . good luck farr64

TV makes humming noise, lamp light is blinking, does not turn on

Your color wheel needs to be changed. Mine just did the same thing. I changed mine, and the buzzing sound went away, however now my picture washes out with light or yellow colors. The darks look green and purple also.

Its the color wheel assy. Its changing speed due to worn bearings. You may also hear a hum coming from the rear of the TV. Seek an RCA authorized service center to resolve this.

Power issues (Tv not turning on) were typically due to faulty ballast. While the TV reports a bad lamp it is the ballast itself causing the issue. Samsung is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast). After replacment most people stop having issues.
