Question about Canon PIXMA iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer

1 Answer

Thanks, J, but no dice - the imaginary paper jam still exists.

I opened up all of the covers and the jam light did go away, however the instant I closed the main cover (the one to access the ink tanks), the light came right back on.
I scoped around with a flashlight, and did not see anything out of the ordinary.  Any other things I can try?  I hate to buy a new ink tank to install into a dying printer! Thanks in advance!

ON Samsung SCX 4216 Error: Paper Jam 0 Open/Close Door Can't find any paper stuck in it. Error does not go away even when turned off and on or unplugged.

Hello! Welcome to FixYa

Paper jam
means their may be small bit paper jam in side

There are some "micro-sensors" that detect a paper jam. There will be tiny piece of paper, or a lump of dust, inside those sensors, thus "tripping" the sensor and saying you paper jam.

To solve it
Open printer cover and check to make sure no paper or foreign objects obstructing the printer feeder

If you become sure that now really there is no paper, dust or foreign objects then
Turn the printer off, and disconnect the AC power-cable. Open the printer cover & now give the printer a "blow" by compressed air.
more over roll the toner gear check if its not obstructing to something .
secondly try to cut/delete any pending print jobs thats right next to clock on your dektop.then restart PC and then plug the printer and PC on see if it works.

If still problem exist then, post your query here ,

I hope this solution will helpful for you
Anymore help regarding the issue, I am here to help

Thanks

There is a little cover there that has a sensor flag on it. It is most likely in a jammed position. If you are able to carefully take the cover out, you can bend it slightly, readjust the sensor flag, and reinstall it.
