But nothing happens ...I have tried to restart computer, unplugged USB and changed batteries
What do I do?

Hi. First of all change your batteries then go to the BIOS ussually DEL on POST screen (sometimes F2 or F8) find function "USB controlled by" (or simmilar) - and change it from system to bios. Then you will be able to use your USB keyboard.

Depending on the age of the computer, it may not recognize a USB based keyboard.

Your other option is to plug the keyboard into another computer to ensure that it is working properly.
