32007

Error Code: 32007
Lost connection during Wii system update
Where are you located?
  1. U.S. and Canada (please scroll down)
  2. Latin America (click here)
Likely causes: Your Internet connection has slowed or was interrupted, or our servers could be busy.
Verify the following:
  • Slow or incompatible Internet connections can "time out" and result in this error code. Are you using a broadband Internet connection such as DSL, cable, or fiber optic? Other, slower types of connections, may not be compatible. Click here for more info about compatible connection types.
Try the following:
  • Check for wireless interference, which can affect the signal strength to the Wii console. To help minimize wireless interference, try the following:
    • Make sure other wireless devices such as cordless phones or wireless speakers are turned off, and that the Wii console is an open area without objects or electronics blocking the signal. (For instance, if the Wii is placed in a crowded entertainment center, try moving the Wii somewhere with more room.)
    • Change your router's channel setting to 1 or 11. By default, most routers broadcast on channel 6, which overlaps with other channels and may be weaker. For help doing this, click here and select your router brand and model (if available). The information you need is found in the "Broadcast Channel:" area.

  • Manually change your Wii console's DNS settings. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Access the Wii system settings (how to), and use the right arrow twice and select "Internet."
    2. Select "Connection Settings," and choose the connection file (1, 2, or 3) that are you are currently using.

    6. Click into the "Secondary DNS" field and enter: 008.008.004.004 Please note: These are public DNS's provided by Google and are subject to Google's Terms of Service. If you prefer to not use this service, doing an Internet search for "public DNS" will provide you with several other options you can use.
    7. Select "Confirm," and then "Save."
    8. Select "OK" to start the connection test. Once the test finishes, try to download the update again.
  • Our servers may be busy, especially if a new update for the Wii system is available. Wait at least a couple of hours and try to download the update again. If after waiting several hours you are still receiving this error code, please call 1-800-255-3700.

Netflix streaming worked until I connected my tablet to my wireless router and put in a pass word. Now wii will not connect to internet. Error code 51331

hello... this problem is quite simple to fix... follow this step by step:

Power on your Wii console and press the A Button on the Wii Remote to reach the Wii main menu. Use the Wii Remote to select the "Wii" button.

Now, select "Wii Settings" to access the "Wii System Settings" menu.

Using the arrow on the right side of the screen, scroll to page two and select "Internet."

Select "Connection 1: None"

(Don't see "None" in Connection 1? Click the Connection 1 button, then choose "Clear Settings.")

Click on "Wireless Connection" and then "Search for an Access Point."

(Are you using a wired Internet connection to your Wii console? If so, click here for specific help.)

Select "OK" and the Wii will display all the wireless networks it finds.

Select the wireless network that is yours.

(If you're not sure which is yours, or you don't see any wireless networks, click here.)

Asked to enter a security key?

If you are prompted to "Enter the Password or Key," then the wireless network you are trying to connect to has wireless security turned on. You will need to type in your security key or password and select "OK."

Don't know your router's security key?

Let us help you find your router's security key. Select the brand of your router below and we'll provide you with the default information for that brand!

Linksys Netgear DLink

Belkin Apple 2Wire

All other brands

Select "OK," "Save Settings," and then "Yes."

The Wii console will run a connection test with your wireless network when the test is completed. You should see the following screen:

As long as you see "The connection test was successful," the "Wii Support Code" does not matter and can be ignored

The connection test was successful - Then you're almost done! After your connection test, the Wii console will check if there is a new Wii System Update available. Once you select "Yes" and "I Accept," the Wii will begin to download any available updates. Click here to find out what's next!

The connection test was not successful - If the test was not successful, you will receive an error code.

Error Code 51330 or 52130: This means the security code you entered into the Wii is not the same one your router is set to. Look in your router's settings and try again. Please refer to step seven (7) above for more information.

All other error codes: Try our error code troubleshooting where we have detailed information on many common error codes. (You can ignore any "Wii Support Code" you receive on a connection test.)

Hi, I just bought a Wii with supermario edition (color red). I have set-up the wireless internet already when it asked if I want to update the sytem's version. When I tried to use the sytem update, an...

Basically you lost internet connection in the middle of the System Update. If you can regain an internet connection I would suggest just trying again until it finishes. If you plan on playing online, or if you can't get it to finish updating, you'll probably need to fix your internet connection problem.

Nintendo has an excellent online knowledge base for this, which outlines a number of fixes. Your specific problem is found here.

Changing your router's channel really can work wonders, which is also described on the Nintendo website.

Getting my wii hooked to wireless internet from my pc and wirleless router

From the wii home menu... Go to Wii Options in the lower left. Click on Wii Settings to the right. From this first list, click the right arrow. Now on page 2, click on Internet. Then click Connection Settings. From this list, click Connection 1. Then, click Wireless Connection... and then click Search for an Access Point. It will briefly search for any access points and when the screen comes up, click OK. There will be a list of nearby access points. If the one you are looking for doesn't show up, click Try again. Then, click the one you have access to... When the following screen appears, click OK... and OK again. It will test the connection... And if successful, a menu will drop down. Click Yes to update Wii. Sometimes the prior screen is false, saying there is an update when there isn't and another window will appear... Now, back in Wii System Settings, click on WiiConnect24. From the following list click WiiConnect24. Click On and then Confirm to save your settings. This feature allows for updates to be seemlessly sent to your Wii so you don't have to do the final step every time. Ok, the final step, just as a way to make sure your Wii is up to date. Click the right arrow from the 2nd page of Wii System Settings. Click Wii System Update... click yes... it will test your connection for a few seconds... an update screen may quickly come up and tell you there is an update (whether or not your Wii actually needs one) Click Wii Menu to finish.
