No, and this has only happened twice. However double image happened over night, I blocked red lamp and double image goes away, but that doesn't explain why only left 1/3 of screen is double image. If it was and adjustment issue, I would think the image would be doubled across the whole screen.

  • Daniel Hutchinson Jan 04, 2008

well I apologize if I caused you any discomfort, I was under the impression that after responding to the blinking light question, that a follow up response was in the works. When I realized that was all I got, I found your answer inappropriate.
I also find it hard to use you or this website after being told I should always give wonderful ratings or I will no longer be assisted.

  • beamik Oct 02, 2008

same exact problem, same tv... it seems to be a sync issue with the red crt... have no idea how to fix it - sorry.

    Anyone ????

again, the right side of the screen is sharp, but as you move from right to left there is an increase in "double image".

In my case the double image will start / stop periodically.

How do i turn on my web cam on my new windows 7 compaq laptop?

You use, Quickplay, To access QuickPlay, just press the "blue QuickPlay button" next to the power button. If it doesn't load QuickPlay, just do "Start" - "All Programs" - then you will see QuickPlay listed there. If you still can't find it just do a search, you will find the short-cut.

Once launched QuickPlay, click on the 2nd icon from left (between DVD and TV icon), then double-click on "HP Pavilion WebCam" from the left side panel, then you will see the blue LED light lit and you should see yourself on the screen. (Double-click "yourself" to enlarge image)

To take a picture or record video, just press the corresponding buttons on the top. (the red circle icon is for recording video (press "Stop" icon to stop recording), the camera icon is for, well, camera)
Videos and pictures are saved at:
Pictures -- C:\Users\Public\Pictures\My Snapshots
Videos -- C:\Users\Public\Videos\HP Webcam

Just go to:

C:\Program Files\HP\QuickPlay

and see if you have QuickPlay installed or not.

If yes, then double click on "QP.exe", and that should bring up QuickPlay. And later you can make a shortcut to it.

I have a problem with my webcam sound. I recorded my assignment speech and when i try to listen to the speech, there was no sound coming out from the webcam. i tried everything and nothing worked. Can you...

Hi chinonsobeau,

First off, you to list the model number of your HP web Cam, as well as your OS, and the software you using to record your sound. I will assume that you have Quickplay which HP ususally send out with their web cams.

To access QuickPlay, just press the "blue QuickPlay button" next to the power button. If it doesn't load QuickPlay, just do "Start" - "All Programs" - then you will see QuickPlay listed there. If you still can't find it just do a search, you will find the short-cut. If you still don't find it, then HERE is a place you can download it and use it. It also has instruction on how to use it.

Or sometimes HP sends out Cheese, another camera software. You can download that HERE.

These are the instructions for QuickPlay:

I'm less familiar with Cheese, so I'll give you their website HERE to go to their support and they can guide you through their program.

Anyway, I hope this helps,

Don't forget to leave a raing,

Thanks

Mark

Samsung HCN4727W Rear Projection TV, green screen, audio works

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai2_bing.gif,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.
