Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
It is more than likely a problem with the Analog Joystick Assembly. This is a pretty common part to wear out in the PSPs, especially the earlier models. The following website sells them joystick assemblies for $14.95 for the 1001 PSP and a little more for the newer models. You can find the model number of your PSP on a label inside the back of the PSP if you remove the battery.
