Question about Jl Audio 12W3 Car Subwoofer
Replacing a car stereo system in an older rv.
the old cassette player / radio has four + wires for the speakers and possibly only two or one - wirre.
The new CD player/radio has four distinct + and four - wires. is it possible to install the new radio using the existing speaker wires ( joining all - wires to one - wire) or will that cause damage to radio or speakers?
Here's hoping someone can point me in the right direction,
Yeah, rewire that.

Your old unit was a common ground unit meaning all speaker grounds as well a radio ground were the same. The new unit should NOT be connected to this wire configuration. Newer units change the potential difference of the speaker power meaning that the - wire of the unit may have negative 24v on it so IT CANNOT BE REFERENCED TO EARTH OR CHASSIS GROUND.
I would recommend rewiring the speakers to the radio for best reliability and sound quality.
