How to unlock the control lock in my monitor?

Hi!! Can you please help me with my problem??? I cannot access the control panel of my monitor because it will say "Control Lock" with "Locked" in the middle. I'm using a Samsung SyncMaster 551v (black) monitor. Please tell me how to fix this problem of mine because I can't resize my monitor's display.

    Hi!! Can you please help me with my problem??? I cannot access the control panel of my monitor because it will appear Lock sign with "Locked" in the left. I'm using a DELL M570 CRT monitor. Please tell me how to fix this problem of mine because I can't resize my monitor's display.

    The moniter is really dim and i half to use a flashlight to see and the ajuster thing is locked. So i need to find out how to unlock it.

Just press and hold your menu button and its ok !

Try holding down the MENU button for more than 5". That works on a Samsung 174V

Osdlock on my computer desktop for 17'' monitor
You are having a problem with the OSD lock on your ViewSonic E70f Monitor. Is that correct?
If so, please follow these instructions to unlock or lock your monitor.
On some display devices, there is an OSD Lock that locks all current control settings and prevents access to the control menus until this mode is unlocked.
The method for unlocking the OSD is different for different monitors, but will be one of the 2 below. If the first method doesn't work, try the second.
Method 1: Press and hold both the [1] button on the front of the monitor and the down arrow button for 10 seconds.
Method 2: Press and hold both the [1] button on the front of the monitor and the up arrow button for 10 seconds.
Note: These same buttons, when pressed for another 10 seconds, will lock the OSD

Osd main controls locked
that depends on the brand and model of monitor ,
it normally takes 2 buttons pushed at same time to unlock it.
if you have side buttons its normally them.

Samtron 56V monitor
Even i was also having the same problem. We can unlock the control lock by holding the menu button for 10-20 seconds.... But now my problem is the message "Controls locked/" appears continuously. Screen width also reduced. If anyone know the solution for this please help. thanks in advance.

Problem with Control Panel
It sounds like theres a front panel button that has become intermittant and making contact all by itself. Sometimes when you clean the screen, the cleaner will drip down between the crt face aqnd the cabinet and make the switch in front go bad. Im not sure if this is the case in your problem but its a start. If you didnt spill anything or drip anything into the front panel then your maicroprocessor could be causeing the problem, or the 5 volts that feed the micro could be noisy ie, bad filter capacitor in the power supply. Now as im sure your aware of the hi voltage inside these sets? Its best if you dont have the training to get a pro to assist you as this hi voltage can hang around inside the set even if its unplugged. Good Luck
