Question about Canon PowerShot SD750 / IXUS 75 Digital Camera

Unable to download images to computer.

This is frustrating. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software three times to no avail. The window pops up prompting me to select a program to view the images, but there is nothing to select. HELP!

I just bought this the SD750 and was able to download photos once. When I tried a second time, either the window never popped up or nothing happened when it did. After numerous attempts, I uninstalled & reinstalled, with no success. I'm ready to return it.

You will need something to view the JPGS with.

XP should find the right program....if not
click START, MY COMPUTER, TOOLS tab, FOLDER OPTIONS, FILE TYPES, see if JPG is there, if not click NEW, if it IS there click the CHANGE and use the XP Window PICTURE VIEWER.

You need to do a complete uninstall since most uninstall programs leave lots of junk behind and fool the computer into "thinking" that the software is still installed.. See if manufacturer has software available (EX - Norton has sit) that does a complete uninstall. If not you will have to get brave and to into the registry using regedit to remove all vestiges of the program and then reinstall it. Good luck.
Or try a system restore point that was generated BEFORE the date of your original install of the program!
