Xbox live is down atm most of the online gameslinking windows live id to my live account - 1.gif right now are not working and the voicemail and messaging systems are down. Im sure that the downloading system1.gif is also down. They know about it and are working on it. If you would like to track the status go to www.xboxlive.com and search status this will bring you the xbox live status whether it is working atm or not just yet they hope to have it working this week. This issue started on friday or saturday this past week.

                    this also happens when you recover you gamer tag too many times, its a safety thing, go to live.com sign in an you will have a message follow the steps to re activate your account, sill i know but it worked for me...

                    corrupt profile which mean your gamertag is corrupted the solution is to delete your profile and recover the gamertag but before deleting your profile check first your windows live id in the console by:
                    1.press the guide button and go to the settings blade and choose account management
                    2.select the windows live ID your current windows live ID can be seen at the right side of the screen.
                    3.note it down the current windows live ID

                    Deleting the profile:
                    1.make sure you are connected to the internet
                    2. press the guide button or the silver button in the middle of the controller
                    3.kindly go to the settings blade(which is in the right part of the screen)
                    4.go to system settings and then memory
                    5.choose the hard drive and then go to the gamer profile and choose your gamertag
                    5.select delete profile only

                    Recovery of the gamertag:
                    1.press the guide button
                    2.select the option recover gamertag
                    3.it will ask your gamertag,email (which is your windows live ID) and password.
