Natty's right. If you bought it at a pawn shop or something, then its understandable, but if it's new and got it no less then 30 days ago, then you have a warrent. But if you havent got it 30 days ago, you might have to get a new one.

my ds broke. yup. and it will not work ever again. so, i think you have a better chance at getting a new ds than i do, cuz i dont have money like that.

Though this isn't what you want to hear this is the truth. There isn't much you can do. You can play it till it's worn out or you can trade it to a videogame store and get money for it.

A problem for my Nintendo DS lite

You cannot put no password on your Nintendo DS.
But, there is a serial number that is your warranty password.
You can have a password on wi-fi, with your games.
Which is your WEP Security. From your computer.
For more information, go to www.nintendo.com.

Top half dont work

Solution:

1. IF you have R4 card in your DS, take it out.

2. Go to Settings (Little icon on the bottom of the touch screen)

3. Select Pink button

4. Select "GBA Mode" (pink button on the right)

5. Select "Touch screen"

NOTE:

This is mainly affective for GBA games, not DS games unfortunately.
If you are really that desperate to play DS games properly, then either hope you can still claim it on warranty and/or buy a brand new DS (maybe even the new DSi).

Hope I helped

When ever i put my Nintendo DS game into my DS it says NO game

your cartridge SLOT 1 connector is bad!, those 2 things sticking out are called "pins" where the game card makes contact with the D, u need to get it replaced, u could buy it on Ebay, search for "SLOT 1 ds"
it's around $10-15
if u know how to fix electronics, .... u will need to solder it!... if u have warranty, send to Nintendo, or a repair shop!

DS LITE

Hi,

The described problem you have happens normally if you dropped the DS Lite. So thats why Nintendo states that it must have been dropped. It would be difficult to proof that it not has been dropped.

Bottom screen scrambled on nintendo ds lite

This option is only suitable for out of warranty devices as opening it violates the warranty.

Open the device following this info:
How to dismantle an Original Nintendo DS.

If yours is the NDS Lite, just find this video in youtube:
"Disassembling Nintendo DS Lite"

The bottom screens have 2 wrap wires, one big and visible, that is the screen cable, the other is small and not so obvious and this one is for the touch screen and you dont want to get it broken.

The cable connectors release the cable by lifting ot pulling the brown or black lock and be sure to remember how it was connected so you can know the right position of the cable when connected right not having any problem with loosen cables before you finish.

Good Luck...
