I hear the fan is on all the time in my Subzero unit. Is this normal?

For me it was easy to fix. Ice had built up around the fan. I removed the bottom drawer. And remove the plate over the fan. That's the one in the back. 2 screws. remove the ice. Like new.
The reason noise stops when you open the drawer is that the fan stops when you open it.
