Alarm won't stop. Code reads F1. How do we stop alarm?

    Is there any way to manually stop the code from continuously appearing, or turn off the oven without unplugging it?

    when oven on for about 5 minutes flashing f1 code comes on and oven turns off

    Duh...Doncha think the average person is bright enough to try the cancel button? That is not the solution, as the oven starts beeping again a few seconds later, no matter how many times or how long you press the stop/cancel button.

Touch membrane defective


To determine which component is at fault, disconnect ribbon strip. If NO fault code, replace membrane, otherwise replace board.

Gas range beeps non stop and the panel shows F1


Hi bobctsai,

F1 error code description is a defective touch pad or clock (ERC). To resolve this error, replace touch pad or clock (ERC). Touch pad is a more common problem.

You have 2 choices.
Replace the electronic control(clock).
Or, replace the range.(stove).

Do not recognize a F0 code only F1-F10. Recommend unplugging and replug.

Magic chef beeping


You need to replace the touchpad. I'm just getting ready to replace mine for the second time in 14 years. A bit pricey but not a hard repair to make.
An appliance repairman told me that it's possible to peel the old pad off and carefully fish the connecting wire out to the point where it plugs together. This would save removing the burners and the stovetop I'm going to give it a try when mine arrives

f-2 is a faulty temp sensor. replace the oven temp sensor to solve problem
