Problem for Amana ABB1921DE Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
Bad capacitor/relay or compressor?
When the compressor goes on it makes a louder than usual buzzing/humming noise for about 10-15 seconds then there is a click and it shuts off. Needless to say, the refrigerator and freezer aren't cold anymore. Is it more likely to be the compressor seized up or a bad capacitor/relay? It's an Amana ABB1921DE bottom freezer.

that is most likely a relay. Does the unit get cold while running?

- I would recommend testing relay with an ohmmeter. If the relay is good, then the compressor needs to be replaced.Yes
