My sink got clogged and now my bosch dishwasher SHU43C05UC wont fill with water. I read on line that it most likely is the float is stuck and to access the front kickplate needs to be removed. Is there a diagnostic test that I can do that will display on the LED to make sure that this is the problem. How involved is it to unstick the float. Can it be done without moving the dishwasher and just working from the kickplate area?

- is the float switch in a bosch model shu43c easily accessible through the kick panel below. I would like to check it because my dishwasher is not filling up. There's faint electrically smell. I read that these dishwasher are notorious to work on because the parts are not easily accessible. My problem is that i need to access it without moving and through the kickplate, otherwise I will need to replace flooring.
The
water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is
defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located
behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the
device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a
rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.
2. Float switch
The
float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below
the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the
dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the
dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets
caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the
dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.
The above one are generic procedure to check the same. One more thing, there could be only 2 reasons for the water not entering the Dishwasher. So, there is no need to run Diagnostic Test and all that stuff.
Let me know, if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

- OOps...
It's my humble request to READ the solution, before asking one more Question. Yes, you need to remove the lower kickplate panel. There is no other way to check the same.
It is most likely that you need to do the following
Larger remnants of food that have not been trapped by the filters and have been left in the water can cause a blockage in the pump. The water is no longer pumped out of the dishwasher and it can be seen covering the filter.
Proceed as follows:
Turn off the machine and turn off the mains power.
Ladle out as much water as possible from the dishwasher.
Remove the lower spray arm.
Remove and thoughly clean the filters.
Undo the screw in the cover (Torx T 20) next to the filter housing and remove the cover.
Inspect the inside and remove any obstructions that you find.
Re insert the cover and screw down.
Re insert the filters and screw down.
Check the waste outlet pipe for any obstruction and cleanas required.
Make sure that the one way valve in the main sink waste system is clear of obstruction. This should be able to be unscrewed by hand and then checked and cleaned as required.

I can't find my manual so I need to review how to load the dishwasher the correct way. I feel I am wasting the room that is available. Can you show me a diagram of how to properly load the dishwasher.
