Won't record on DVD-ram

For some reason it won't accept to record on any DVD-Ram anymore - It gives me the message "cannot record". Should I get someone to look at it?

Samsung dvd_vr330 wont play pre recorded discs

The VR330 has several problems similar to this, and some can be "fixed" by unplugging the unit and let it set for anywhere form 5 mins to several days.
I think the control software gets messed up.

I had 3 - one wouldn't play a "video" movie, another would record RAM, and another wouldn't do DVD-R/RW.
Surprisingly one day I accidentally put a DVD-RAM with recordings on it and the unit accepted the RAM. The disk had been protected on another device.
On that particular unit I had neglected to set the time which was at factory 2006, so I left it there.

Toshiba RD-XV48DTKB HDD&DVD/Video recorder. I am having trouble dubbing a VHS home recording onto DVD. It records for 20 minutes then it stops and comes up with message that further recording is not...

Perhaps it is a limit of that software? Is it a "Trial" ? I also suggest you use another type of program see if that one will record longer, also it may simply be either or both NOT enough, RAM &/or Hard Drive space. You need HEAPS of memory when doing any Video work. To do stuff such as this you would need at least 4GB RAM and at least 50 - 100GB FREE Hard Drive space.

Every disk I put in to record something says bad disk

There's very little information about your problem, like model and disks you are using. I can give you general information.

All DVD's doesn't work will all types of recorders.

DVD Types:
For More In-Deph detail of DVD Formats, Enter Here.

Check what types of disk your equipment uses. Maybe needs lens cleaner or is a equipment malfunction. If it reads, then most likely is in good shape. From my experience, I have two DVD recordable setup boxes. But one only accepts DVD-RAM and the other accepts DVD+Recordables and ReWritables.

If this can't help, you can post more detail about your equipment.

Failure to accept DvD Ram discs in a Panasonic DMR-E55 Recorder

Possibilities are that the laser lens needs cleaning (use a proprietary cleaning disc) or that - as long as you are sure you have original manufacturers' discs and not fakes - the discs are scratched or dirty.

Make sure the DVD RAM is in the plastic caddy that came with the unit, and make sure that caddy is marked unprotected.
