I have a problem with ink smearing on Southland fine linen paper on letters I've sent out The letters are folded in three and put in an envelope. The reciepients are recieving the letters with smeared lettering. I use a HP laserjet 4250 printer.Do you know any reasons this might be happening?
Sometimes it's due to low fusing temperature. Certain papers need higher temps. Check the paper supplier or look in the printer setup menus and adjust the paper type to as close as possible to what you have.

Network Printing Issue. I'm running 2008 Domain Controller 2003 File and Print Server. Cisco 3560G switches No 3rd Party print management software User workstations are all Windows Xp Pro SP2 Printers are HP Laserjet 4250n Users within the same building as the Data Center can print without fail or delay. External Users are affected. External users- connected to main building via fiber connection They get the error "Printer has not yet responded" when attempting to open or print microsoft documents adobe pdfs (any windows Printing) The printers are setup as shared windows printers on the print server; and pushed to workstations with group policies. If I reset the Cisco switch at that office; The problem is resolved but short term. The users can login (authenicate) use email, access all our company applications just fine, even print from within the enterprise applications; the problem occurs only with windows printing. Bandwidth doesn't seem to be an issue I can copy 1GB from the File and Print Server to the affected workstations in 1 -2 minutes. Restarted File and Print Server File and Print server network cpu usage is low The ports on the switches show no errors I've replaced the switch All to no Avail If I add a new IP port on the affected workstations and map to the ip of the printers I can print without delay, however I need my print jobs to go through the print server. Any suggestions????
