Hi, the problem is that it depends on who you ask some people change the plugs every 6 months this is about right as it ensures the plugs are working at their best but as for the leads they should be changed every 12 months or so but most people dont change them for a couple of years.

Its advised you change plugs every 6 months and leads every 12 months.

Its more important you change the plugs every 6 months as they are doing most of the work and can get corroded and or build up of carbon causing miss fires and un even running and higher fuel consumption. So change them every 6 months to be on safe side. Unless your having problems with miss fire then the leads should last easily 2 years or more.
It all depends on weather you want to change them more often but they tend to fail after a couple of years.

Hopefully this gives you some idea.

Let me know if you need further assistance ok

SOURCE: sparkplug wiring for 1995 chevy suburban

Your engine rotates counterclockwise. In that case you install your wires counter clockwise on the distributor. The number 1 connector on the distributor cap is marked 1. You connect the number 1 wire which is the one in the left side. Then go counterclockwise connecting them in this order.

just make sure that the plugs and wires are for your vehicle then change each sparkplug wire according to its length, the sparkplugs if they are new are already gapped.

How do I make my 2.0 sonata 2001 light on fuel?

Presuming you mean you want to get better fuel consumption with your Sonata, here is a list of things you can do:
New air filter (clean airfilter) - check monthly.
Clean airbox in which airfilter sits.
Run fuel injector cleaner every 3to4 tanks of fuel.
Make sure the sparkplugs are clean and gapped correctly. Check every 20,000km -replace every 100,000km or when fouled. Replace all at the same time. Use a very good brand of sparkplugs with platinum tips. (move up to a heat range 1 higher if your driving is 50/50 mixed city/highway.
Make sure the sparkplug wires are no more than 50 ohms in resistance, are not cracked, boots are in very good condition and seal up on the plug.
Empty you car of all un-needed materials.
Wash and wax the car frequently.
Make sure the tires are correctly inflated -- check once a month.

Can someone tell me how can I replace the spark plugs on Dodge Caravan 2005, from above?

Open the hood to access the engine compartment. Locate the sparkplugs sitting to the side of the motor. Six wires run to the motor, three on each side.

Twist the rubber boot and pull away from the sparkplugs. This will expose the sparkplug.

Unbolt the sparkplug with a socket wrench. Use a 5/8-inch deep-well socket attached to the socket wrench.

Pull the sparkplug away from the motor. Discard the sparkplug.

Screw the sparkplug into the motor by hand. Make sure it is hand-tight.

Tighten the sparkplug with the socket wrench, using the deep-well sparkplug socket.

Click the wire to the sparkplug wire to the end of the sparkplug. Gently pull the wire to ensure it clicks into place.

Repeat the procedure for the remaining five sparkplugs. Change each sparkplug one at a time.

How do i change spark plugs in 1992 buick le sabre

To change the plugs, do one at a time so not to mix up the sparkplug wires, remove plug wire from a plug, use sparkplug socket to remove the sparkplug make sure to gap new plugs, ask parts store for the gap setting they will give it to you when plugs are bought, the plug gapper is about $2.00. and that about it, the rear plugs are a little harder to get to but the same way to remove, some buicks came with metal heat sheild over the sparkplug boot in the rear cylinders make sure to reuse, you will know if you have them they will slide right off old boot.

How do I get the spark plugs out of my 1998 ford escort to replace with new ones? Also where does the pcp Valve go?

With you hood open and you are standing in front of the car sparkplug wires need to be removed,i suggest you remove them one at a time, under each wire the sparkplug is threaded into the cylinder head, using a 5/8 sparkplug socket remove the sparkplug and replace it with new properly gapped sparkplug.Note:if you remove all sparkplug wires at once the factory wires are generally numbered 1 2 3 4 the sparkplug closesed to the passenger fender is #1 and the one clossesed to the driver's fender is #4.Standing in front of vehicle the PCV Valve is located between #3 and #4 on the backside(intake side) of the engine fitted down into a rubber hose

How do i change the spark plug in a 1996 isuzu rodeo? It is not ease to pull the plug wires off of the plugs.

You have the 3.2L 6cyl ? The wire connector at each coil that is positioned above the sparkplug is a bit tricky to remove. Start with an easy to get at one-like one on engine front passenger side. There is a clip you have to push in to release the connector-it will slide out. Then remove two screws holding coil to valve cover and pull it up-it will have a long boot on it. Use a sparkplug socket and long extension to remove sparkplug. Tip: driver's side sparkplug located nearest to firewall of car is a bit tricky to get out because of steering/master brake cyl-use two short extensions-when sparkplug is unscrewed from engine-lift it up a bit-remove one extension-then lift plug out.
