2008 Aura XR, Key FOB will unlock all the doors but the drivers, and will only remote start the car if the Fob is in the car.

take the key fob and the car to a service dealer and have it programmed

if the key wont unlock the door and the fob does then the linkage from the lock to the key has come apart, as the fob is actuating the electric motor , will need to strip out door panel to see where the connecting rod has got to

Could be your driver door lock mechanism that is going bad , since the other door are working, it cannot be the fob. I would try to change the driver side door latch mechanism.

Key FOB is to unlock the doors & set the security system,

There are no keyless entry remote self-programming instructions for the 2008 Chevy Uplander. You must get an Automotive Locksmith to program the remote to your vehicle for you.

Your remote for your car needs a new battery - take it to a Watch shop or mass merchandiser ( like Walgreens, Kmart or Walmart to name a few ) and they can replace your battery. Don't wait, as your remote will stop working very soon and you may not be able to turn off your alarm, although most alarmed vehicles can shut off the alarm by unlocking the door with the key. The remote is called a key fob.

press the lock button on the remote then press the remote start button. if this does not work check remote start status using steering wheel buttons

I have an A4 and did this to re-program my key:

1. used the key to start the car...then turned it off
2. put the key in the driver door (door closed)
3. pressed the lock button on the key fob once
4. turned the key to lock the door.

This is basically the steps in the owners manual, but the car must be started with the key first, and the key must be in the door lock before pressing the lock button.
