ok so i have just got windows7 ... I installed the driver for my linksys wireless wusb54gc (ver. 3) adapter, and i'm did the compatibility wizard to run it in vista, but after about 5 mins or so of constant internet use it disconnects me from the internet, but stays connected to the network. I have looked and looked and looked for answers on this and i just haven't found anything yet. I also know that windows7 is new and that there might be this issue for a few weeks, but if anyone has a solution it would be great.

- well come to find out i can download files now without losing my internet, its just when i use mIRC now to find games for CS.
Are you making sure that the network is set to private (work or home) as when it is set to public what you are experiencing tends to happen. Also check and see if you have any firewalls running that might block it
I found some info with someone who has the same problem that you do. Seems to be a fault with the router itself as a lot of people seem to be complaining bout it. Read the article i set out above hope it helps. Best advice however is get a new router.

I connected the WUSB54G to a desktop. Installed all drivers. Router is 2Wire 1701. Got a solid "Connected" indication. But the internet connection drops very frequently. When I called Linksys tech support, they said it is a 2Wire problem. When I called 2Wire tech support, they asked me to connect with a cable. That worked. So they said it is a Linksys problem. Anyone faced this problem before??

my internet has stopped working. I have the linksys wireless adapter WUSB54G version 4.2. It has worked fine for a very long time and has stopped. I have tried to reinstall the software disc and it seems to be stuck it won't complete the whole loading process to the computer. I have downloaded an update from the linksys website onto a disc and then tried to upload that to my computer, but that did not work. This all occurred after I uploaded an microsoft service pack for my Vista.
