How to insert a # sign after the memory number

Hi. I am trying to program numbers into the phone's memory. I know how to do the name and number, but need to add a # sign to the end of the string of numbers. Since the # sign is a P (pause), how do I insert a #?
Thanks, Jill

Re: How to insert a # sign after the memory number

Phones are a bit odd in this case. They key layout changes a bit when you are entering text into the phone, rather than dialing a number outside of a menu. Look carefully at the keys, there is a button that give you access to symbols, it will be labeled so in the same text and color the pause letters are. What i mean is there are the numbers and letters on the surface of the button, but what you want to pay attention to is the secondary letting etched on the bezel between the buttons. Hopefully you will easy find it. I can reference it if you send the model number to my email address or update your question.

This is the way to program the numbers

  • 2. Enter a phone number as you would dial it.

  • 3. Press PROG again and then press the corresponding memory button to store this number. Hang up immediately.

  • 4. The number is now stored into memory. The memory button in the lower right corner of the frame can be programmed for emergencies. Whenever the handset is lifted, a light will guide you to that button.

I need to know how to take out unwanted phone number and name and program in a new name and phone number. Lost my manual and can't seem to upload yours on my computer.

removing and installing phone numbers isn't hard. Just hold MEM small button down for about 5 seconds then use up or down arrow to arrive at stored number. Then hit select, & follow prompts (edit Memory #, delete Memory #, or go back). The rest you should be able to do.

After many years have misplaced the instruction manual for our Vista 200. Need to know how to set up names and numbers for the automatic dialling feature.

First, ensure the display is bright enough. If it is not, press successively on the "Brightness key" that is located on the top of the phone above the "Memory key". You have 8 brightness settings. Note that the "Brightness key" has no label.

You are now ready to start programming.

1. Press the "Memory key". It is labelled "Memory" and is located above the "Memory keys" numbered 1 to 10 on the right-hand side of the phone.

2. Press the "Memory key" you want to program. (1 to 10)

3. Enter the number you want to program using the "Dialling keys"
1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9,
*, 0, #

4. Once the phone number is entered, press the "Memory key" again.

5. Now enter the "Name" for the phone number you just entered. To do this, you press the "Dialling keys" as follows:
For A press the "2" key once,
For B press the "2" key 2 times,
For C press the "2" key 2 times,
For Q press the "7" key 2 times,
For Z press the "9" key 4 times.
Use the same for all letters.

To go to the next letter, press the "Right arrow key".
For a space, press the "Right arrow key".

6. Once the name is entered, press the "Memory key" one last time. You are done.

7. To test it, press the "Memory key" you just programmed.

Hi Dont know if this applies to your phone but if there is a button that says memory try pressing it .If your phone does have this feature a blank will probably come up.Try then pressing a number button (example # 1) .If there is no info in that slot try pressing the momory button again. It should ask for a name. After you enter the name press the Memory button again it should ask for a numer. After entering the nubmer press memory again. This should save the persons name and number. Now to get back to this info press memory and the corresponding button # you saved it on.
(tip, press the "talk" or "call" button while that persons info is displaid to call that persons #)
