I had exactly the same problem. I was using a USB cable, as I had done with Windows XP. However, when I tried using a DV cable instead it worked no problem at all, and i was able to use Windows Movie Maker, so no need to install ImageMixer. Hope this helps. Tony
unknow just means it dose not have a driver list for the device. go on their web paged for driver from the device web site. and install them from there.
The JVC USB driver was written before introduction of the Windows XP system. This warning is displayed with other manufacturer’s digital cameras, also, and is not strictly a JVC phenomenon.
In order to use the USB interface between the camera and your computer, select the “CONTINUE anyway” option provided in this warning display. To JVC’s knowledge, there are no negative effects to using JVC driver with Windows XP.
