There are several paper feed sources on most printers. When you get the out os paper error message, does it tell you which paper source is out of paper?

To answer your question: Your printer will need to be cleaned inside and checked for small shards of paper jammed within the paper feed path. If you look inside of the printer, you will see small, rubber, feed tires (wheels) that pickup the paper. These tires also ensure that the paper feeds entirely through the printer. These tires can become dry and coated in clay off of the paper you use. Once they become coated, they slip on the paper. Use a paper towel with Windex or Rubbing Alcohol to clean up these tires and an access ink you see inside of the printer. This should fix your issue.
With the HP printers, paper can get jammed in every tiny little place it can find. Even though you pulled the paper out already, you may have left a small piece in there not realizing it. Open up the printer and if you have a can of "air", spray it throughout the inside of the printer cartridge area. I would also remove the printer cartidge(s) to make sure a piece of paper didn't get in there either. Hope this helps!

the paper sensor pin is jammed up in sensor so it detects that the paper is still there.even though its not there.get the printer serviced so that the sensor moves freely.this will solve the problem.

There is some kind of mechanical lock on it. Push, Pull, Tip or Slide to correct position. It is only plastig. Look under and behind it to figure it out.
check that the paper tray is set to match the paper your printing - look also in the printer driver settings for the correct size. A4, Letter etc.. If that did not fix it make sure the paper take-up roller isnt worn.
