I had the same problem with my game cam this year and after disassembling the camera and looking at the SD card assembly I fixed it using the following technique. My assumption is that the SD card assembly is poorly constructed and that the card is not making good contact with the contact springs inside the SD card connector.

1. I removed the sd card
2. I folded a piece of notebook paper so that it was about the width of the sd card slot and about as thick as 3 sheets of notebook paper.
3. I slid the folded paper into the SD card slot
4. With the paper still in the sd card slot, I slid in the SD card on top of it with the contacts facing up (the correct direction). This made the sd card fit much more snug in the slot.
5. I turned the camera on, and left the paper in the slot with the SD card.

The camera then recognized the SD card every time.

Hope this works for you too.

Okay, I finally tried an OLD SD card and the camera is working again. I'm really wondering if technology changed with the SD cards and the older one's work and the newer ones don't. That is the only thing I can think of.

Note if sd card is installed is on the screen wont advance past that DGS 160. I have tried different SD card, hard booted, changed batteries, when I plug into computer interface, it doesn't recognize ...

Do you mean the DGS I-60? What size memory card are you using? The I-60 works with SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Moultrie D-55irxt says sd card locked on

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

When I turn the camera on it says SD card locked.

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

SD card Locked

The error code 000060 means SD card locked. The switch on your card may be unattached internally. Try a different card.

Moultrie I450 Game Spy

Before installing a sd card, internal memory MUST be erased. From setup, use the up/down buttons near the select button until the display reads "ERASE ALL PICS(MEMORY)? NO" toggle up or down button to get"YES", press the select button and wait until until it says "DONE".
Go to setup screen, power off, intall sd card...should be good to go.
