We get this E4 message as well. Dishwasher seems to not finish its cycle when this happpens.

  • grlchili Dec 16, 2008

We also get the E4 error code. Dishes come out with flecks of food still on them, even after I have rinsed them off. We can't seem to get any help with this problem, even from the manufactor.

Eurotech Dishwashers are notorious for the E1 and E4 faults. The problem is with the solenoid they use for filling the dishwasher. The problem is something called the "Venturi Effect". The Venturi effect is the reduction in fluid pressure that results when a fluid flows through a constricted section of pipe. The fluid velocity must increase through the constriction to satisfy the equation of continuity. while its pressure must decrease due to conservation of energy. The gain in kinetic energy is balanced by a drop in pressure or a pressure gradient force. I know, a lot of big words. To put it simply, the orifice within the solenoid is smaller than the inlets and outlets. Even more simply put: Not enough water is getting into the dishwasher. It's a design flaw and I'm not certain there are many ways around it. Just make certain that you have a good water feed to the dishwasher (no kinks, valve on completley etc.). One thing you may try is reducing the feed pressure (i.e. slightly turn down the water valve supply to the dishwasher). Doing so may diminish the venturi effect by equalizing inlet pressure. It's worth a try.

Where do I place the silverware rack in the Eurotech ndishwasher

Once you load it with handles down and so the tableware won't nest too much, place it anywhere it will fit and not be blocked from getting a good spraying from the water arm that spins under the rack.

Looking for a water inlet valve for a eurotech edw154e

You can try to replace the solenoid with another dishwasher solenoid, but be prepared for some of what we call "backyard mechanics" :>) It can be done, and it will work, but it may not look pretty.

I have a Eurotech EDW154E dishwasher. I keep getting an error code 4. The previous owners said there is a way to reset the machine. Any ideas?

It appears that Eurotech isn't like a simple washing machine that senses fluid level and then shuts off the solenoid. It seems that it's on a simple timer. Turn on the solenoid for X time then turn it off. If not enough water, send fault code. It's a design flaw and I'm not certain there are many ways around it. Just make certain that you have a good water feed to the dishwasher (no kinks, valve on completley etc.). One thing you may try is reducing the feed pressure (i.e. slightly turn down the water valve supply to the dishwasher). Doing so may diminish the venturi effect by equalizing inlet pressure, hence allowing more water into the dishwasher. It's worth a try.
