Question about Philips DVD Micro Theater Shelf System (MCD288) System

1 Answer

Philips mcd288 mp3 albums

Hi

can anyone tell me how I can make a dvd of mp3s but with each album in its own folder please? If I make a dvd disc or data cd with folders my micro hi fi wont play them and just shows album 01 tracks 0 If I make a dvd with 'loose' mp3s, eg not in a folder, then it plays them fine but as they re all together it makes it difficult choosing tracks.

thanks

There's a little bit of work involved, but what you should do is to record those tracks individually as folders, then transfer those to your DVD burner...accordianman

Sansa won't allow me to add new Mp3s

ok. first, you need to change the id3 tag in your mp3 files by right clicking it, selection properties, and then under information, change the album and artist name to what you desire.

for playlist, make a playlist in windows media and save it, then change the extension to .plp

MP3 playback stops at the last file in folder and does not continue to next folder

Not much you can do.

You could rename all your tracks, and put them in one folder.

EG

ALBUM NAME - 01
ALBUM NAME - 02
ALBUM NAME - 03

ALBUM NAME - 10
ALBUM NAME - 11 ETC.

This way, the tracks will play in order within each album.

Use 2 digit track numbers or they will play 1,10,11,2,3,4, etc

The album view, I believe, will only show "unknown artists" under the albums folder. You may have to go to the artists section to find the other albums.

Playlist problems

The only way you can get the tracks to play in order is to rename them before you put them on the player.

eg.

Album title - 01 - Track name
Album title - 02 - Track name
Album title - 03 - Track name

Album title - 10 - Track name

and so on

The albums will stay together, and the track number will put them in order within each album. Just remember to use 2 digit track numbers or they will sort 1, 10, 11, 12, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

I have a different GoGear model (6330), but the same problem. So the solution I found may work for you, too. In my case using WMP or Rhapsody, album art was being placed in a folder on the device called Albums, when it needs to be under Music in the same folder as the album it goes with. Album art files should always be called "Album Art.jpg" and are 170 x 170 pixels. They can be manually copied or moved to the correct location by just opening the GoGear as a "drive" in Windows Explorer. Hope this helps!

Help sansa e260 album covers

Hi! I followed these directions, but I still can't view the album art on my player. I downloaded album art for ten albums, and named them
Album Art
Album Art.jpg
album art
album art.jpg
folder
folder.jpg

I still can't view any of them. Any idea what's going on here?

Thanks!
