Question about Washing Machines
ARE YOU ABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT IS CAUSING THE FAULT F13 ON OUR WASHER DRYER?
THE PUMP DOES NOT ACTIVATE AFTER THE INITIAL SURGE AT THE START OF THE DRYING PROCESS, ALSO THE WATER INLET DOESNT FLOW WHEN THE DRYING CYCLE IS ON.

my washing machine WD 860 has 'stuck' with the error code F12.
IT STILL HAS SOME WATER IN IT BUT EVEN AFTER POWERING DOWNE ALL NIGHT I CAN'T OPEN THE DOOR TO REMOVE MY CLOTHES.
what does error code F12 mean? any idea how to by pass it open the door?

the usual problem with tripping is the heater of the dryer box has become loose and touching an earth.
if you take the lid off you will see the box on top of the drum.
with the electric off you can look for loose/disconnected wires and wiggle the 2 metal tabs that are the ends of the heater, should not move.
you may be better with an engineer visit if it's not an obvious fault.

SOURCE: F13 error during drying cycle
Hi, that indicates that either the fan motor is not working/ blocked or the dryer thermistor (thermostatic sensor) is playing up. Of course, the pcb reads the sensor so it could also be that causing the error.

the heat coil may be damaged. A few years ago I took apart my dryer and saw that the coil resistance wire (glows red when a current is passed thru it) was broken. I was able to buy the part and put it in and it worked after that. If I had to do it again, I'd just call a repair guy.
