- Well, I asked four questions to one person & I cannot get him to repond to the 4th question.
I have a hp2100 laser printer & he recommended I check the fuse, but he will not tell me where to look.
Can you help me on this?

- My printer cord does not hav a box that a fuse would be in. All it has is a male plug in & a female plug in on the other end.

- I can unplug the cable & use the arrows, but where is the cancel button?
Change power code of printer. Also check that printer power adapter works fine. Sometimes power surge damage the printer fuse so if power code and power adapter are ok then you have to change fuse in printer circuit . Let me know if you need more assistance. Thanks.

- Change power code means power cable of printer.

- power adapter is not in printer. It is simple power code . Change power cable of printer for change power cable you not need to open printer . Just disconnect power code and change it. First check with new code. Then if problem remain check fuse.
I don't have a 2110 myself, but I have used several similar printers. I beleive there should be a fuse, but it's part of the cord itself. There is probably a small box type thing in the cord? That's where the fuse would be.
One other thing you can try is doing a printer reset. To do this, first unplug the printer.
It's going to be one of the following: Hold Left arrow + Cancel button and plug in. Hold Right arrow + Cancel button and plug in. Hold Enter + Cancel button and plug in.
Try all three and see if anything happens.
If you still can't get your printer to power on and the fuse in the cord is not the issue (not likely because you tried different cords) then the printer unfortunately will probably not work again. In that case, it's probably something wrong internally and I don't think HP will service this printer anymore. I know they don't make parts available to purchase.

I got got this new Gateway PC with 64-bit Windows Vista OS & as I was trying to connect it to my PC it didn't have a parallel port. So I went to a PC store & ask for a 36-pin centronics connector with USB at the other end. And when I hooked it up it had detected it automatically, so I assumed everything fine & printed a test page, but started spewing out scrambled characters. How could it be acting up in such a way when it was PnP?

HP LaserJet 2100tn functions fine, with no error message, but emits a loud, high-pitched, continuous "BEEP" during the entire print job. The lights on the printer indicate it is functioning normally with no errors. No paper jams.
