Download the drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure youselect the model of your laptop the drivers you that require that matches theWindows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to theAcer support: - http://www.acersupport.com/drivers_download.aspx
that means the guy or someone who replace the new harddrive didn't to a good job on restiall a new window vista for you, just simply go acer.com and search your model, redownload the sound card driver.
Does the laptop play CDs?
If so then when you start a DVD and before you play the movie, go into the audio setting and configure the speakers for laptop stereo speakers.
If you cannot hear music from the CD then check :-
1. The audio settings, volume not set to minimum and mute is not ticked (enabled)
2. Device manager - sound device is enabled and working, if not re-install the sound driver.
try connect the speakers externally on green connector on your laptop check if its working . ok otherwise there may be a problem in sound card (may be drivers installing problem or soundcard problem) if not solved call to my mobile : 9440346646
