Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer

Baffle broke off

I have a duet GHW9150PW0 front loading washer. One of the baffles broke off. I need to replace it but have been unable to find spare parts listed for this model number. Can you tell me what part number I need to order and whether I can replace it myself or if the drum has to come out to replace it.

Thank you.

The front baffle/boot will likely need replaced. You can do this yourself but it takes some patience. You can order the part, list model #, at 888-321-3107. The procedure is as follows:'
1. Tilt washer, back against wall.
2. Remove wire spring with needle nose plyers. The spring is located at outside perimeter, under lip, of baffle.
3. Peel baffle from front panel.
4. Remove clamp from the outer tub lip. Look closely and you should find a large hose clamp. Use small socket wrench to loosen.
5. Install in reverse order. Be careful and take your time.

Inside of the washing machine one of the humps or bars broke off. now I have sharp pcs of metal where the hump was attached sticking out. I cannot attach it because the little metal hooks broke.

did it rust? if the metal of the basket broke off then there is not much to do for it. if it is just part of a clip that goes with the baffle then replace the baffle. I would take the baffle to a parts store to compare, they would be better able to help from this point. replacing the basket is something you would find out of the question by cost/labor. if you have a first source servall or appliance parts depot then they would be best. some service companies sell parts too but they would cost more and would have to endure a sales pitch for service

Baffles in washer

the new baffles arefairly easy to install, they go over the hole and then pull foward to lock into place.. the new bsaffle should also come with a screw to "lock" it, in place. in order to securethis screw you need to remove the top cover of the unit,(3 screws across theback) after removing the top youll see a black hose going directly into thetop of the tub prbably an inch or so . gently pull that hose out from thetub. It simply locks itself inplace.. after removing you can spin the inner drum around till thenew baffle is directly under the "hole" where you can now see a small hole inth eunderside of baffle to secure.. just remember to resecure that hose or youll have a flood on your hands

How to replace whirlpool duet GHW9200LW baffles

easy repair, they simply slide over hte slits in the tib and firmly pull forard to snap/lock into place. there should also be a screw included in the kit, remove the top of washer (3 screws across the back of the lid)after removing hte main top toull see a black accordian like hose leading to the top of the tub assy, from the dispensor box to the left. remove this hose from the tub( pulls out of the hole), then simply turn the tub form the inside till the baffle you installed is at the 12 o'clock positon your screw hole will be right there. RESECURE THE HOSE, reassemble the top and your done!

Replacement baffle installation

its a little tricky but can be done. Can you remove the top panel of your washer?? 3 screws along the back lip and the entire top will slide back and off. theres a little black hose leading from the soap dispensor to the top of the outer tub assy. its only pushed into the tub and is real flexible, pull it out .you see through the maybe 2inch hole and see he inner basket. as you rotate the basket from inside with your hand the inner baffle(s) will line up to the hole and depending on date of manufacture. they might have put a small stainless screws in from behind to hold baffle in place, ifso remve the screws and the baffle (although a little tricky should slide toward the rear of machine to remove, and pull toward the front to reinstall
