Question about Canon EOS 40D Digital Camera
I agree! Get a Compactflash card reader, they are very inexpensive! They are also faster and easy to use.

I got a same problem so I contacted canon service center. But the technician said there is some problem on my computer or window system, And he recommand me to purchase a multi merory card reader to solve the same.

I also was getting the same problem. After talking to Canon Troubleshooting, they told me that it could be that my computer's setting is not setup to accept pics from my camera. When I changed the settings on my computer, it exports my pics instantly! They also told me that "BUSY" flashing while hooked up to my computer, is normal. The "BUSY" flash is letting you know that your camera is hooked up to a device. Hope this helps!
