Question about Motherboards
When I boot my almost new laptop - imediately after the "Toshiba" sign, it asks for a password. No password was ever set-up and I the bootup will not continue as I really don't know a pasword. I've tried to put in the serial no. listed on the back of the laptop but it always rejects it. I've tried pressing the F2, F8, F10, F12, and trying to boot from the recovery DVD - but it always asks for password.
There was no problem for the first few weeks since I bought it about 7 weeks ago.
Any help would be appreciated.
What is the operating system?
Have you tried just pressing "enter" (Blank password)?
Does anyone else have access to your laptop?
Have you tried logging on as administrator?
