Hi. i have a samsungA6 camera. When one of my cards is inserted it comes up saying card locked yet when i put the other cards in they work fine. It's little button is in the unlock position. Is it because it is a micro sd to sd adaptor? Please help.
On your converter of minisd , at the side of the converter there will be a button mostly left side ,press it on the opposite direction from where u are getting it locked. this will surely solve your problem.

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
When you insert the card, a "feeler" comes forward and either bumps into the slide switch or goes into the empty space. This is the way it determines if your card is locked. It's possible that the feeler is in the out position and needs to be pushed back in. You could also try putting a piece of tape around the slide switch covering up both the switch and the empty space. Be careful...you don't want the tape coming off in the slot. If that changes anything, your card may work after that.
Hi! There's a small switch on the memory card reader inside the camera which detects that the card is locked. Most likely this switch is broken. You can try to point it with needle or something but I'm afraid you will have to give it away for a repair to a local repair shop or Canon service center.
I don't own this camera but My guess is your memory card is in a LOCK SETTING you need to move the memory card to unlocked " wrirte " so you memory card isn't locked.....
Step 1 remove the card from you're camera
Step 2 there is a small little side on the side of the memory chip move that to the unlock position.
step 3 insert the card and start shooting!
There should be a small toggle along the end side (it is tiny and easily missed, but it is there, I just checked my memory card / mine is 4GB SD card from Sony) that you can swtich to unlock
and your images may come back that way.
Look for it this way, hold the card face down it should be on the back edge where you use your thumb or finger to push it into the slot on your camera.
Here's the solution, I just had the same problem LOL!
1. take the memory card out
2.On the memory card there is a little switch (it will be the little tiny piece on the side of the card thats a different color) slide it up.
