-   My Wii turns itself off about one hour into play. All lights go off and the only way to power it again is to unplug the power box from the back of the console and replug it in. Unplugging at power point doesn't help. This problem has only started since connecting to the internet, and I am wondering if the upgrade has changed some settings to enable it to 'auto shut off' after a while. I also have intermittent clicking but at this stage just ejecting the disc a few times fixes this.-   monkeyboy01

-   Well each time I put in one of my games the Wii starts this clicking noise.
I had played it for 10 or more hours and now it is sending me error messages and each time I put in a disk it starts to have clicking noise.-   Jessie_91108
If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try
another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem
is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read
error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide,
that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. It
also gives information on fixing many Wii Related Problems, so its a
kind of Wii Problems Reference Fix Guide
Rub shoe polish into the disc and then put into the freezer for about half an hour. The disc may look alittel dirty but the polish fills the gaps and hey presto your game disc is like new. Enjoy.
