Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Sign-in My Sansa 8GB e280 won't recgonize that I am signed in. I go through the sign in process, it says that I am signed in but when I go to make playlists it tells me I must first sign in. Additionally, I have another sign-in name and when I use that account there is no problem. But I want to use the account that won't let me sign in because I have my CD imports on it. Please help.

Re: Sign-in

This problem is not with the Sansa player, but with outside software

Error when loading songs

Here's what another user did - let me know if it works:
ok so i called 1-866-sandisk and she told me how to fix it. you just flip the key lock at the top so you see orange, then hold down the record button. then you should get some sort of message on the screen. then you plug it in and under my computer a file should show up. you open it and make a folder in it called sansa.fwm (i think thats the right folder name, if not, try sansa.tmp or email me). then you unplug it and it should say formatting or something like that. once its done it should work.

My 8 gb sansa

Does the charging sign show up? It could be a bad cable. Also make sure you have the right software You can get it here at:
Go to Support\product support\sansa view\ thenlook in the right column

Try it with different usb ports as well.
Go to Device Manager and look for "?'s" or "!'s"
