I have a wacom intuos 3 tablet, and have owned it for about a year, using it about once a week. However, this week when I went to use it, I had no response from the mouse, nor the pen. The blue light on top is off and has not lit up, even if I plug it in a different USB hub. After downloading the new drivers (10/20/2009) and several restarts, as well as trying every USB hub on the computer, I still get no response from my tablet.

- I should mention that I am running a laptop as well, powered out of a docking station. Should I let the battery die out on my laptop and then recharge it before plugging in the tablet again?
Also, when I have the Wacom_tablet.exe, it pops up with a message after a few minutes saying "the tablet driver is not running."
Finally, I have never received a USB not working prompt. Both my wireless mouse and keyboard, flash drives, and other USB devices are working properly.
Thanks for the response, though.Nov 02, 2009
- Hm. With all other external devices unplugged, I get no change in the Device Manager USB controllers whether my tablet is unplugged or plugged in. And I have downloaded the most recent drivers from a few weeks ago. I'll try the battery thing now.Nov 03, 2009
- Well, no beans. I drained the battery and removed the battery, then put the battery back in and started it up. The light is still not lighting up. Also, when I try to run the prefrences executable, I get an error message that says "A supported tablet is not found on the system".
