Question about Mitsubishi WS-55859 55" Rear Projection Television
I have a Mitsubishi HDTV 1080 that is 4 years old, and is flashing a green light. TV will not turn on, and nothing I do works.
The most common cause is bad capacitors on the DM board. There are seven of them and over time they fail due to heat build up. Often times you can see a noticeable bulge especially on the top. If you notice this issue after a power outage or having the set unplugged, it's most likely a failed capacitor/s.

I had the same problem due to power surge.Repairman came and said power board replacement might fix--$300 parts and labor, but if DM module is damaged, another $600-700. My set is 5 yrs. old. I'm shopping for a new LCD.

This is easily fixable for about $10
That is an extremely common problem with Mitsubishi tvs old and new. It can be fixed easily and cheaply for those willing to use their hands.
Refer to this guide to replace the capacitors on your DM Power Circuit Board part # 935C9860. You could also have someone else do it for you for $100
