Why wont my ipod touch turn on. i turned it off last night and it wont come back on when i push the power button the apple sign comes up but then it turns off.i plugged it in to my comouter and it dosent show up on itunes.....plz help
Hold the power button and home button for 10 seconds to ensure the device is off. Let go.
Hold the home button down, plug in the ipod to the computer, after the
screen changes to the itunes plug screen, let go of the home button.
The ipod will now be in recovery mode, and you can attempt to perform a restore within itunes.
If the restore fails, and the ipod screen stays black, this means the battery is dead and must be replaced.

Plug the damn thing in and let it recharge fully for a few hours. The green battery icon will pop up on the screen to show you its recharging. After your done charging try holding down on the power button again. If you still get nothing, then your fuc..d and need a new battery, but the bastards at Apple have sealed the thing up tighter than a virgins legs and if you crack this nut open, then you will void the warranty. So, if your within your 1 year Apple warranty, just take the thing back to Best Buy or the Apple Store and tell them the battery won't hold a charge. They will give you a brand spankin new ipod in exchange.
I almost forgot: You have to sync this thing up with your computer before it will recognize the ipod. You probably did a half *** job and messed it up. So reboot the thing and try again. Press at the same time on the power button on top and the home button at the bottom front of the ipod. Count to 10 Mississippi or Alligator (your preference) then let go of the top button, but keep your finger on the home button for another 10 seconds. Now you can let go and your ipod will reboot itself. Now go through the re-sync process correctly and don't fu.k it up.

Hold the home button and power button at the same time untill your ipod turns on. If you have held it for longer than a minute, try charging it.
Connect the iPod to different computers and let it charge for a while. Also, as it's booting w/ the apple logo, press the menu button to force it to recovery mode. That may let you restore it. If all of that fails on any of the computers, you have a broken logic board. You can try to replace the part yourself, it is available on any auction website. There is an iPod touch Repair service that can fix it for you, but if you're a little tech savy you should use an iPod repair guide that teaches you how to do the repair yourself.
Its not just out of power?
