Question about Nintendo DS Console
Hi ! My daughters Nintendo DS screen is out of alignment.She has to guess where to touch the screen in order to play the games . We've gone through the recalibration procedure but the red squares keep repeating !! Can you help us ?
The only possible fix is to try to clean the edges of the screen in case any particles are trapped between the screen and the case, this can confuse the touch screen.
Do this with a soft toothbrush, it will not damage the screen.
If that doesnt work then in all likelihood the screen is broken, it can be replaced but this is not trivial. There are guides on the internet on how do do this.

I tried the tapping the calibration screen real hard and fast when calibrating, that completed the test for me at least, previously id been going for like 10 mins with no luck. The 4 crosshairs once the calibration screen finished were not lighting up but now it seems to be accurate. i also done the toothbrush cleaning which i think sorted it. try these things!

I thought I had this problem, But for me all I had to do was keep touching the the red square, it took ages but it finally worked. (:

I had that problem too, bit found out that if you actually "tap" as in touch the screen REALLY quickly and do the process fast as possible itll make the stupid calibration finish

Try calibrating using a hammer n chisel this will remove the lil pesky red squares

I think there is something in the edges of the touch screen. your best bet is to see a game repair shop or save up more for a new one.

Hi my daughters is doing the same as everyone elses does it mean she'll need a new one.only came back from usa couple of days ago alot cheaper their kicking my self for not buying one then.only noticed problem when wouldnt calibrate on way home.

If you have a screen saver (plastic film over screen) it may not work properly

Try and get it repaired or go to the retailer and exchange it for a new one.

Omg you just keep touching "the red square" a few times in then it will say calibration is complete
