Little Tykes "My Real Digital Cam...
Hi - my 6 yr old son got this for christmas, and I am supposed to be able to plug it in with the provided USB cable and have it be able to download the photos to my computer. My XP (Sp2) computer does not recognise the USB device.
I looked at Little Tykes for a driver or something, but there is nothing to download. What do I do to make it work for him. I tried the computers "troubleshooting" but found the language impossible to understand becase I dont know what a root hub and other things are.

- Really disappointed ! I bought two for my kids at chrismas 07 and having the same problem. The kids took some pictures of there Uncle and now he has past away all of a sudden and we really would like to print the pictures. I had the same problem. The solution I found, was to shut down the camera. The camera of course, was stuck with the USB icon on the LCD, so I had to unscrew the battery compartment to get it to shut down. Then, once the camera was shut down, I re-tightened the battery compartment. Then, I connected the camera to the computer with the USB cable again. Only while the camera was already shut off, did the computer recognize the device. The problem was the I had turned the camera on before I had connected it to the computer. Apparently, you have to make sure the camera is shut off first.

No driver or software needed for a usb device such as this this
But there are issues occasionally with camera with internal storage as opposed to 'cards'
If you have load software from a disk unload it and let Windoze find it
