Phaser 7300n Printing on Double Sided Glossy Paper
In the process of trying to print a calendar om my Phaser 7300n using double sided glossy paper, I'm experiencing the following problem, first side prints fine when I send the second side through it appears that the toner on the first side melts - it bubbles up, flakes off, and streaks. Paper I'm using...
Paper type: Brand: Sappi Name: New Opus Gloss Size: 8-1/2 x 11 Weight: 19.50M
Am I using the wrong paper? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Phaser 7300n Printing on Double Sided Glossy Paper
At first I didn't think the paper was the problem, but I looked up the specs on it and is seems to be a paper designed for an offset press.
I suspect after reading the information on the paper that the coating is not designed for the high temperatures of a laser printiers fuser heat of over 350 degrees.
I do suspect the paper is the issue.
sounds like you are melting the coating.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Run this paper from the bypass tray located on the right hand side of the machine.
Try setting that paper type on the copier itself.
Load the paper. Go to the manual paper tray select screen. Select tray 1 and then change paper settings.
Glossy paper also tends to slip in these machines when the paper tray rollers are bad.
The printer trays accommodate most sizes and types of paper, transparencies, or other specialty media. Follow these guidelines when loading paper and media in the trays: - Envelopes, labels, and glossy paper can be printed from Tray 1 (MPT) only. - Transparencies and custom size paper can be printed from Tray 1 (MPT) and Tray 2. - Fan paper, transparencies, and labels prior to loading them in the tray. - Use only paper envelopes. All envelopes should be printed single-sided only. Some wrinkling and embossing may occur when printing envelopes. - Do not overload the paper trays. - Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size. - If excessive jams occur, use paper or other media from a new package.
Hi there! You printer does not have an automatic duplex(double-sided printing)so you have to make a manual double-sided printing. When you start to print something , in the widow of the printer click on the preferences and look for the option "Print on both sides" or "Manual double-sided printing".When you start the printing the printer will print page page 1,3,5,7..... on the one side of the paper. After the printer finish you have to take the papers and put them back in the printer with the other side of the paper. Then the printer will start print page2,4,6,8,.....If you need any other help please replay!Tghaky for using Fixya!!
