Typically, they design the cords for image access to connect to a Universal Serial Bus port, aka USB. It's a small, rectangular hole, that can usually be found on the front and back of desktops, and all different sides of laptops. Otherwise, you may want to get a USB memory drive, also known as a jumpdrive, flash drive, or stickdrive, which connects directly into your computer, around 512 MB should do, depending on how many photos. Then, simply take the phone into a local store for your carrier, and ask them to transfer the pictures from the phone or memory card in the phone, onto the jumpdrive. Then, you'll be able to access them on your computer. It shouldn't cost anything; if they try to charge you for it, ask for their supervisor, or simply demand your phone and the flashdrive back, and leave.
Alternatively, if you have inexpensive or unlimited mobile uploads, you can try uploading photos from your phone onto facebook. Facebook has the ability to do this through their photo application, which will require your mobile phone number. That's really a last resort, as it can get expensive. But once it's on facebook, you can access them, and save them to your computer.
