Yes, have the machine checked out. The noise is probably coming from the belt and is nothing more than an annoyance. Make sure that you inform your technician that it doesn't make the sound for several hours so that he/she will know how to properly test it.

Please take your machine to a qualified technician. A good cleaning can never hurt but a drop of oil in the wrong place may cause your machine to require major repairs. The shaft bearings in this machine require no lubrication and applying machine oil to these bearings may cause them to seize.

My Necchi Sofia 300. When winding bobbin the needle doesn't disengage and the matching makes a dreadful grinding noise as it winds the bobbin

Try putting a small drop of oil on the the metal shaft of the bobbin winder if it is not moving freely. The grinding noise implicates the winder tire may be ground from the locked winder shaft. The needle not disengaging requires oil in the shaft bushing. On this machine it appears you would have to remove the covers to access the appropriate areas.

Bobbin winder spinning but not winding thread

Sounds like the thread is not being (manually) wrapped several times around the bobbin before beginning machine bobbin winding.

If the winder is broken, you can always pick up a standalone bobbin winder at the local fabric store or online for ~$25 US.

I owe a Topaz 30, lesser than 1 year old. Today I've got problems with the bobin winding. I set it on its place as usually and when I tried to start it and push the ok button, there was a click and than...

I don't have a Topaz, but a Designer 1. I think the bobbin winding setup is similar on these machines. One time I had accidentally pushed too hard on the bobbin winder spindle when I put the empty bobbin on, and the mechanism had gone back inside the machine a little and would not work. I was able to pull it back into place myself without needing to go to the repair shop. Look carefully at your bobbin winder and see if it is in the right place - this might just be your problem and is easily fixed. I am very careful now not to push too hard when I put on the empty bobbin. Also make sure you have pushed the bobbin completly towards the bobbin stop. Does the bobbin winding pop-up appear on your screen?

Can't put a bobbin on the winder Husqvana Viking 6020

Is this a Designer 1 or a #1? There is no moving lever on the pin of a Deigner 1,they are fixed. If it's a #1, use sewing machine oil or Triflow. NEVER use 3 in 1 oil. It will gum up and cause problems later on.

I have a designer 1 that won't release the bobbin.

Winding too tight;
Whenever your bobbin won’t come off any Viking, Designer 1 included, it’s because it wound too tight. This is how you know. It went on easy! To get it off, don’t pry, slowly unwind all thread, it will change shapes and let go of the bobbin winder. My favorite way to wind a bobbin on a Viking is to thread the machine through the needle and go under the foot then up to the bobbin winder (it has to be under the foot or it winds too tight. If it still winds too tight, lay your thread down instead of standing it up, the weight of the thread can increase tension on the winding process also check that you use a spool cap as large as or slightly larger than your spool. If it still winds tight. I’ll explain what bad thread can do.

Test your thread quality to start, thread your machine and LIFT the presser foot (this opens the tension disks). Pull your top thread straight back. If you feel no tension no mater how much thread you pull, your thread is good. If that your machine passes that test (tip: always check your thread this way when you thread your machine)

Designer 1 bobbin assembly loose or broken. will not allow machine to function. trying to take cover off machine to remove bobbin assembly so I can use machine until I can get it to repair.

If the bobbin winder spindle is loose and flopping around in the opening in the front of the machine is has come out of the frame that it should be mounted in. Operating the machine with loose parts inside can be risky for the machine and the operator.
Don't take a chance on causing further damage to the machine. The bobbin winder can be replaced without too much trouble and is relatively inexpensive.
