Hoover Dual V steam vac model F425-900 won't dispense detergent--only water. I cleaned the valve--no change. What's wrong??

Check the spring loaded valve at the bottom of the detergent bottle.
Push it up with your finger or a pencil or some such thing and see
if fluid comes out. If it does, then the problem is the valve or tubing I
would suspect.
