Will not ignite (by 3 users)

My cooker will light no problem, it just will not ignite. I have had my cooker around 9yrs it is a parkinson cowan deluxe, not sure of the model. Hope you can help!!

Does the spark generator control the oven solenoid operation? Oven gas supply does not work if spark generator fails. i,e, no gas flow to oven but taps and grill still receive gas.

Can I change the batteries so as the ignition will work, if so where are they stored in the cooker. Thanks
