Printing envelopes from bypass tray takes FOREVER. Have checked all settings that I am aware of, but still prints VERY slowly. Any suggestions for fixing the problem will be very much appreciated.

Solution : Print on Envelopes
You can print envelopes from the Bypass Tray only. Guidelines for Printing Envelopes
Print quality depends on the quality and construction of the envelopes. Try another envelope brand if you do not get desired results.
Maintain constant temperatures and relative humidity.
Store unused envelopes in their packaging to avoid excess moisture and dryness which can affect print quality and cause wrinkling. Excessive moisture can cause the envelopes to seal before or during printing.
Remove air bubbles from the envelopes before loading them into the tray by setting a heavy book on top of them.
In the print driver software, select Envelope as the paper type.
Do not use padded envelopes. Use envelopes that lie flat on a surface.
Do not use envelopes with heat activated glue.
Do not use envelopes with press and seal flaps.
Use only paper envelopes.
Do not use envelopes with windows or metal clasps.
To Load Envelopes in the Bypass Tray:
Open the Bypass Tray.
Move the width guides to the edges of the tray.
NOTE: If you do not load envelopes in the Bypass Tray right after they have been removed from the packaging, they can bulge. Flatten them to avoid jams.
To load envelopes, select an option:
For Number 10 envelopes, load the envelopes with the short edge going into the printer, flaps down, and flaps to the right.
For C5 envelopes, do one of the following. If the envelopes wrinkle, try another option.
Insert envelopes with the print side up, flaps closed and down, and flaps going into the printer.
Insert envelopes with the print side up, flaps closed and down, and flaps going into the printer.

First recommended that you use the bypass tray on the right side, also before placing the envelope in the bypass tray send the print job over first, the screen will say replenish paper then go ahead and place the envelope on the tray. and let it take it or hit the start button Ensure you select #10 commercial media and bypass tray in your print driver preferences. May also want to have tech come out and look at the tray and run MAX and Min. Adjustments.
Envelopes must be run from the bypass tray at the side of the machine. touch the paper trays on the touch screen. Set the bypass to envelope and com10. when you go to print, make sure the paper type is set to envelope under printer preferances.
Try putting the paper in the 2nd paper tray and then go to system settings then paper tray settings and change to paper for that drawer to envelope and maybe COM10. Then try to print on the envelopes.
At the print que select the bypass tray as the paper source and envelope as paper type and make sure to set the envelope size like # 10 or whatever size they are. Make sure not to print envelopes with windows.
-Carl, please let me know if this helps.
On an MP-C4500, envelopes must be printed using the bypass tray (the fold-out tray on the right hand side). Put the envelope in face-down and tighten the two fences so the envelope is snug.
When printing the envelope, make sure the print driver is set for the correct envelope size. If envelopes tend to jam in the printer, try setting the bypass paper type for thick paper.
