I was told there was a part on the back of my gas dryer that if damaged will cause my dryer not to heat

The thermostats will go bad from time to time. these can be ohm out to see if they are faulty. research your model/name brand dryers troubleshooting guide, model/name dryer not heating, test to preform. this should help you isolate the problem.

My dryer wont heat

Not sure of my brand, but when my dryer would continue to run without heating, I replaced one small fuse in the back using Google to find the right part (What Causes Gas Dryer to Stop Heating) and a youtube video to walk me through the process. Instead of a $75 maintenance visit or purchasing a new dryer, I solved the problem for $2.50.
This video worked for me, but you could search for other brands.

The inginator is glowing for about a minute then it is going out, it isn't heating up and I was told unless the inginator is broke it isn't bad, please advise me what else it could be
