Need to test a bizfon system prior to pur...

Hi,

I hope you might be able to help me figure out how to test a used bizfon 680 system before I buy it. I notice in the control unit has an empty dimm slot that accepts standard Dimm 100 memory chips. The unit does nothing when hooked up to a phone line with dial tone. The extension phones are also hooked up and their power supplies connected to power.

There is no dial tone to any phone and the unit does not answer a call when dialed from an outside line.

Is the missing DIMM to blame or is it an add on for upgrade purposes?
